Remediation Specialist

As a Remediation Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and executing remediation and restoration efforts. You’ll be on-site, managing various aspects of property recovery and ensuring clients’ homes and businesses are restored safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Damage Assessment: Conduct thorough on-site evaluations of damaged properties to identify the type and extent of contamination, damage, or environmental hazard.
  • Remediation and Restoration: Perform water extraction, mold removal, smoke and fire remediation, and decontamination tasks as needed. Follow industry best practices for cleanup, containment, and removal of hazardous materials.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate specialized remediation equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, etc.) and ensure proper setup, operation, and maintenance.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including PPE usage, containment procedures, and waste disposal. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Documentation: Accurately document project details, including progress reports, equipment usage, materials, and labor hours for each project.
  • Customer Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, explaining the remediation process, expected timelines, and addressing any concerns.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections throughout the remediation process to ensure all work meets company and industry standards for quality and safety.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in remediation work, with expertise in water, mold, or fire damage restoration.
  • Certifications: IICRC certification (WRT, ASD, AMRT) or equivalent preferred.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in challenging environments. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for extended periods, and work in confined spaces and various environmental conditions.
